I tried my hand at sewing on this layout, then I used a paper clip with a charm, some grid paper, a little delivery stamp and some staples, to go with the office supply theme. I painted behind the pictures with white shimmer, though it is hard to see in the picture. I don't usually use too many bumpy things on my pages, but these little flowers were perfect! Thanks!Friday, September 23, 2011

Number challenge
Been trying to upload this all day, but Century Link has had other ideas, so I played outside with the kids, did my Sunday School homework, scrubbed my kitchen floor and did another layout. Finally, my internet is back online, so here is my number challenge entry-pretty straightforward. My son turned 5 this summer! Unbelievable how the time has flown by. He is really turning into a little man. Thanks for looking!

Sweet Peach Sketch
I got some scrappin' in last night, and I was so excited to use my new twine that I picked up at Grove's while Sarah was at her first day of preschool and my new thickers that I ordered from ScrapZoom. I usually follow a sketch pretty literally, but I took a little liberty with this one. I had that silhouette rubon from a long ago Sweet Peach kit and I never knew what to do with it. Well, when I went to put it on the page, it ripped! So, I put it along the edge, and I think it turned out OK. The paper is from a DCWV stack I have probably had for 10 years!!! I loved the little rip at the top corner of the sketch, I will have to try that again sometime!Wednesday, August 31, 2011
Thursday challenge
I have been in a scrappin groove this week. My oldest started kindergarten and everyone has been going to bed a lot earlier, so I have a little time in the evenings. I think I have only one more Christmas page to do and I will be caught up in all 3 albums! Sorry for the blurry pic. My camera died while we were on vacation, and I haven't made a decision about a new one yet, so I am using my very old 4mp camera! I was so inspired by Angie's mesh look that I peeled of the backing from some mesh I bought about 10 years ago at Oriental Trading I think, and used it as a mask for my mist. I tried to drip it on the top part, but it doesn't look as drippy as I was hoping. Thanks for looking!

July sketch
Thought I was going to get a lot of pages done this week with my hubby working nights, but I spent so much time out in the sun with the kiddos during the day so that DH could sleep, I was totally exhausted every evening! I finished this today while the baby was napping. What a fun sketch! Can't wait to see some more from Keri over at Sweet Peach!Tuesday, July 12, 2011
Holey cow!

Wow! It has been a long time since I have done a challenge page. As soon as I saw Angie's challenge to distress holes into the paper, I knew which pictures I was going to use. I did this page of Mike's turkey and tried to make the holes look like the shotgun pattern, and while it may not be totally accurate, I think it looks pretty cute! Thanks for the inspiration, Sweet Peach!
