I am loving all the challenges over at scrapbookchallenges.com! They are giving me lots of inspiration :-) This is my take on the http://scrapbookchallenges.com/flashbackfriday-sketch-106/ challenge
These pictures have been sitting on my desk for over a week and I couldn't figure out what layout to use. When I saw this sketch, I knew i could make them work! I had to trim the vertical pictures a little, but it's all good:-) Thanks for checking it out!

Sketch 470
I know I haven't posted for a while, but I found some cool challenges over at scrapbookchallenges.com
I used this sketch 470 from this months challenges as a jump off point for my page about my baby meeting the newest baby in our family.
I loved the little wooden heart that came in one of my monthly kits, but the color didn't look right with my page, so I inked it with my white inkpad and it blended much better! Thanks for looking :-)

MME sketch challenge
The challenge up over on the My Mind's Eye blog is a sketch right now. I usually make layouts for their challenges, but I really needed to get some cards done for my teacher gifts. So, the 3 horizontal cards were based on the sketch and use the awesome Sleigh Bells Ring holiday line. There were so many cool little elements in this collection!
Thanks for checking them out!

MME rubon challenge
I don't use rub-ons a lot, but I saw this challenge up on the MME blog and pulled out some oldies but goodies. For the papers, I used mostly Now&Then but my rub-ons are at least a couple years old. I can't even remember which MME line they are from, something summery! Anyway, the cute little journaling spot was perfect and the butterflies blend perfectly with my punched ones. And, after all this time, they still went on just like butter!
Thanks for looking!

MME June sketch
Here is my take on the MME June sketch challenge. I had so much fun doing this one and it came together pretty quickly, too! I even hauled out my sewing machine and copied the stitching over the chipboard elements.

MME May sketch challenge
I am so in love with the colors in the new MME Market Street collection! My LSS didn't have any of it yet, so I splurged and ordered it online, and boy was I excited to get that box in the mail!! I am not usually much of a layering scrapper, but I liked the way this turned out, and I layered a couple of the pieces from the embellies in place of a second photo. Thanks MME for all the inspiration.

MME March challenge
I did another challenge over at the MME blog. I am so in love with their products, sadly my LSS seems to not be carrying any of the new lines. I may have to become an internet shopper for my scrapbooking supplies! Anyway, I made this card using strips of washi tape and the cloud stickers from the cut and paste charm line. I like how it turned out except the washi tape didn't want to stick at the edges so I ended up using my tape runner to adhere them a little better after I took the picture. Thanks for looking!

Sketch inspiration from MME
Her is my take on the MME november sketch. I used papers from the Cut and Paste collection, I think the colors worked beautifully with my daughters dress! Then I punched a flower from different papers to evoke the feeling of the flower that we put in her hair for this special day. Thanks for looking!

Thankfulness challenge
Well this challenge was a super easy concept for me to do. I had in mind another set of pics, but they didn't really go with this beautiful MME paper from the charm line that I wanted to use. So, there will be more themed pages in the future!! I think everything on this page is MME except the thickers . So fun!

My mind's eye challenge
Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted! I found this cool blog on the MME website and they have lots of challenges and prizes. The theme of this challenge is Labor Day, and the example page was a baby page, which got me thinking about my newest addition and his birth day. I used the MME stamp for the name tag on it, I was so excited to find it in my LSS. I also used MME paper and little stickers. So fun!

Starting Point
I got one last layout in for the week using Angie's starting point challenge. I wanted to get the rest of the challenges done, but there just aren;t enough hours in the day! Finally used some of those deer stickers my kids are always making me buy, even though there weren't any bucks in the pictures!Monday, October 3, 2011
Book page challenge
I have been wanting to do this page of Cody's bedtime prayers for a long time, and I finally was inspired by this challenge to use a page from the Bible on it. I couldn't bring myself to tear a page out, though, even from an old Bible, so I scanned it and printed it twice on tan cardstock, then I cut out Phillipians 4:6 and popped it up on the page. Thanks for checking it out!Friday, September 23, 2011
Office supplies
I tried my hand at sewing on this layout, then I used a paper clip with a charm, some grid paper, a little delivery stamp and some staples, to go with the office supply theme. I painted behind the pictures with white shimmer, though it is hard to see in the picture. I don't usually use too many bumpy things on my pages, but these little flowers were perfect! Thanks!Thursday, September 22, 2011
Number challenge
Been trying to upload this all day, but Century Link has had other ideas, so I played outside with the kids, did my Sunday School homework, scrubbed my kitchen floor and did another layout. Finally, my internet is back online, so here is my number challenge entry-pretty straightforward. My son turned 5 this summer! Unbelievable how the time has flown by. He is really turning into a little man. Thanks for looking!

Sweet Peach Sketch
I got some scrappin' in last night, and I was so excited to use my new twine that I picked up at Grove's while Sarah was at her first day of preschool and my new thickers that I ordered from ScrapZoom. I usually follow a sketch pretty literally, but I took a little liberty with this one. I had that silhouette rubon from a long ago Sweet Peach kit and I never knew what to do with it. Well, when I went to put it on the page, it ripped! So, I put it along the edge, and I think it turned out OK. The paper is from a DCWV stack I have probably had for 10 years!!! I loved the little rip at the top corner of the sketch, I will have to try that again sometime!Wednesday, August 31, 2011
Thursday challenge
I have been in a scrappin groove this week. My oldest started kindergarten and everyone has been going to bed a lot earlier, so I have a little time in the evenings. I think I have only one more Christmas page to do and I will be caught up in all 3 albums! Sorry for the blurry pic. My camera died while we were on vacation, and I haven't made a decision about a new one yet, so I am using my very old 4mp camera! I was so inspired by Angie's mesh look that I peeled of the backing from some mesh I bought about 10 years ago at Oriental Trading I think, and used it as a mask for my mist. I tried to drip it on the top part, but it doesn't look as drippy as I was hoping. Thanks for looking!

July sketch
Thought I was going to get a lot of pages done this week with my hubby working nights, but I spent so much time out in the sun with the kiddos during the day so that DH could sleep, I was totally exhausted every evening! I finished this today while the baby was napping. What a fun sketch! Can't wait to see some more from Keri over at Sweet Peach!
